Second quarter of the 2010 was a positive surprise to economic analysts – GDP growth amounted to 3,5% (in the first quarter GDP grew by 3%). Industry grew most rapidly (13%) along with construction (4%).

Domestic demand and private consumption were the main factors of growth. Import grew faster than export (respectively 18,2% and 17%).

Investments were also a very positive surprise – despite the continuing decrease the numbers are about to reach the last years number since the difference amounted only to -1,7%.
